Reluctant again...

Well once again I have slacked...I swear once I get things settled around here I will get back on blogging! I like having my thoughts read and commented on, I like having nothing else to do as well! Latley I have been painting, cleaning, unpacking, selling, cleaning some more and so on. Our house is 1/3 painted, and 2/3 unpacked. Our office is still in boxes...hint to the lack of blogging I guess...its not nice in here...reminds me of work.

So what else is going on...James is huge...he has grown 3 inches since his 6 month appointment 5 weeks ago (note to self make 9 month appointment). James is not crawling and  at top speed, his current obsessions are the DVD player and electrical sockets. He wants to feed himself all the time so purees are no longer cool as far as he is concerned. Just this evening I lowered his crib mattress to the lowest level since he decided today was a great day to start pulling himself up. So yeah he is a busy busy boy. No teeth just yet but he is definetly working on them.
Spaghetti James...oh yeah he liked it!
Megan is doing great at her new school. She seems to be making friends and gone are the days of "So and So said this and hurt my feelings" she only complains about boys picking on her and I think that means they like her in little boy language right??? She lost two teeth in two days last week so she has the best goofy grin around, see picture below for said grin. She is great with her brother and even laughs when he is attacking her baby style instead of complaining about the hair pulling and drool. On a not so fun note she has been very strong willed as of late....even more so than usual. Those of you who know her know that this is not a great thing, we spend a ton of time reminding her who the adult is and that we get the last word...not her. It's not sinking in, apparently golden locks makes for thicker skulls??

On the family note, my Mom has been here for about a month now. She is spending the summer in California because she has lots of work here, its hotter than the surface of the sun in Lake Havasu, and she loves her Grandchildren...oh and her children too I guess. She is spending a week at my house then a week at my sisters, we put her to work when she is here and she was a huge help with the moving and unpacking, Moms are always great at that stuff...someday I'll be one of those Mom's I hope.

We all celebrated Labor day by taking the 4 soon to be 5 kiddos to Gilroy Gardens in 95 degree heat, yeah great times. The kids had fun, James didn't so much but he survived. We went home to mellow dinners and early bed times. No sunburns and exhausted kids means a great time was had!

Well I will be back tomorrow with maybe something more interesting than my random thoughts and updates. Buh bye for now!
